    ZV 18 motor size

Ordering a new zv 18 next spring. Any info of opinions and experience of motor size would be greatly appreciated. As heavy of a boat as it is I'm afraid the 150 pro xs might not be big enough. I plan on using it on small lakes 50% of the time. Great lakes and Kentucky lake the remainder. Thanks.

That's a big heavy boat. I would put a 200 on it. You will be happy you did.

Thanks. That's kinda what I figured. Spending that kind of money I don't want to make any cuts that I will regret. But a 150 will allow me more options but thanks for your input.

You can always upgrade electronics later down the road. Changing motors is a lot more of a chore and cost.

The ZV 18 is now approved for the Verado Pro 200 (6 cylinder version). Bolt for bolt this is the same motor as Verado Pro 300...something to consider if you ever wanted to gain some relatively cheap horsepower down the road.
