What is top speed with a 250? Is 80 attainable of of a new 21TRX?

Maybe when it's cold and a stiff wind at your back and you have a long run swinging a large prop.

Not in the 3 or 4 I've been in. My '14 model would run 79 with a light load but it was recalled. The models after that aren't near as fast. I was in a '17 light load and half fuel and it would run 73.

Don't expect to see 80. Since they moved the fuel tanks to the floor, and added weight to the build process, Triton's are about the same speed as the rest of the brands. They now don't carry weight very well.

    Nope 80 is NOT attainable on a 21-TRX with a 250.

I was sold on Triton (have a TR22) Looking to get new boat and noticed people are reporting speeds in the lower to mid 70s on these. Really want a high 70s boat. Oh well may have to look at Bass Cat

I am seeing 75 with alone in the boat. 73 with partner and 2nd console in. To be honest that is plenty of speed I rarely get over 65 at that speed shes riding like my Chevrolet truck and the Merc isn't working that hard. I really enjoy the room I have for storage and the deck size. I am not that put out by the fact that the same boat before changes was getting 4 to 5 MPH faster.

We could get 78 out of our 15 21TRX before 10ft blades but now we're getting 75.2 tournament loaded with two people.

You could not be more correct on the location of the gas tank and the fact that the newer boats at least mine does not carry weight as well as when the tank was under the seats

16,21TRX no poles, manual jack plate, 25P stock Fury 3: Best i have ever seen is 75.7 with me up the Ohio River, empty livewells and 1/2 tank of fuel. With a 100 hrs, full load off my mess of boxes and zip lock bags in the fronts, 20 rods, lunch, tools and snivel gear and my partners likewise mess full rear compartments w/ full fuel 90 Oct. 73.2 slick to very light chop in what I consider a loaded for fishing combat boat. 19th to 1st in 10 miles on the call off of numbers launch. 72.5 with full wells same day back to weigh in. Haven't made a run by myself with empty live wells since just past the 20 hr mark. It will get striped by a Phoenix 721XP which I honestly expected to see. My feelings were still hurt until I found out he had a 300 ProXs under a 250 hood . I wish I could trick the wife into letting me do the same, but I don't think she will fall for it.

I have yet to see any 20 TRX run 80 with a 250. Somebody is over inflating the real numbers.

You heard wrong, the fast boat is the 21. The 20 is virtual the same as the 22 but shorter and is still heavy and know where near an 80mph boat. Closest it would get to 80 is being towed down the highway.
