Most recent one would not snag anything on a q-tip, It had a sliver out of the tip eye and was shaving the line over time. Look it over real well with a magnifying glass.. Just a thought is all as mine was driving me crazy on a crank bait rod...

Jim go sell some ski's! I went out yesterday and caught 8 bass 7 pick's, the first fish I caught on that set up was a pick and it did fray the line away from the bait so it has to be a bad eye. I have a small lighted 30x handheld microscope and I still can't find which eye is cracked. I've tried pulling the line back and forth under load with a med drag, and a few other things. These aren't micro guides but they are the newer smaller ones, tough to see where it is. Bob Goss where are you???

I appreciate that Bob!! I was wondering if you knew a way to find the bad ones on these small eyes.
