    Toledo Maumee River?

Any off you ever try the spring walleye run? Is it worth fighting the crowd? I wouldn't mind trying it some day but didn't know if it would be better wading or out of a boat. Is the river safe to run in a boat? Is there just as good of fishing out in Maumee bay that time of yr?

The fishing all depends on weather, water temp and water level. Very hard to predict when to go. I haven't been in years. Maumeetackle.net used to put out out a daily report.

With these fish running up the river they have to be stacked up at the mouth I would assume. Is the fishing at the mouth that time of yr just as good

I've fished it. 30 years ago. It is a young man's game but worth it. Waded in at Buttonwood and also Side Cut.

If the weather is good the bite can be awesome in the bay. But things have to come together. I.e. wind ,water color

Think I might try it too. Nothing better than a good jig bite. Love feeling that thump
