Question Skeeter ZX20 - Ultrex Question

Looking to upgrade the Fortrex 112 to a Ultrex 112 52" on my 2014 ZX20 - does the bolt pattern match up or do I need to drill another set of holes?
Also - any issues that you guys came across installing or using lately??

    Thanks !!

The pattern is the same but your cover might not fit.

I have a 15 zx250 and took off the Fortrex and installed an Ultrex. Bolt holes are exactly the same. I had a 52" Fortrex and went to a 45" Ultrex, that being said Skeeter boat cover fit PERFECT

Do you have any issues with the 45" shaft? I'm looking to buy an ultrex and was wanting the 45. I currently have a 52 motor guide and am always having to adjust it up. Just hoping not to regret after that kinda moneys spent.

I was having the same issue with the 52", always adjusted up and in the way. I am very glad I went with the 45" looks better and not in the way! I fish offshore on a few lakes and it has not been a problem not having the extra length in waves, I'm not fishing the great lakes so its perfect!

I fish some pretty skinny water and hardly ever have to adjust the head up on my 20i - and I had the 52" Ultrex. I had a 45" shaft Fortrex and anytime the wind picked up I spent half the day with my motor out of the water - the 52 was the best upgrade I made to that boat.

Not sure how you fish skinny water without pulling up your 52" shaft, unless your definition of "skinny water" is 5 ft deep.

I was fishing a tournament on a tidal river this past weekend and was in 20” of water with the 52” Ultrex about 3” from being all the way down. A number of things play into this - boat brand and legth - also if I weighed 300lbs and had BPS in my front compartments it would be a different story.

i fish these same waters and would never get less than a 52 - the cover on my 20i fits just barely but it does fit.

I have a '15 FX20 and fish Erie and St. Clair. Upgraded from 52" Fortrex to 52" Ultrex. Fits holes, tight stretch on cover, but fits. You can always adjust 52" shallower, but can't stretch the 48". If you have a 360, find a good cover maker- impossible to put under factory cover.

I put a 52" Ultrex on my ZX225 and haven't adjusted it one time. And the 52" comes in handy when spot locked and two people fishing off the back deck.

Thats a really good point - another plus for the 52". The Ultrex changes things for sure, for fishing off the back with spotlock I went with 8' power poles because we do it so often now I didn't want 10'ers in the way.
