how to drain speedo and water pressure line for winter storage

I've read and followed a lot of advice from this forum on winterizing my Skeeter with a HPDI 200 Yamaha. The only part I can't figure out is how to drain the water out of the speedo tube and water pressure tube to the gauges (if required).

And blow air through it. I put a tee in mine just below the gauge so I can get to it without issue. CJ And yes it is required. Seen a lot of boats with junk water pressure gauges AND speed gauges from this.

I also put a note on my steering wheel to remind me to hook it back up before first trip in spring. Don't need wet feet to start the day.

Still fishing between freezes here. Launched boat, fired it up and ran trolling motor over to dock. Picked my guy up and went to sit down and said damn, forgot to hook that back up! Water everywhere lol!

Hook everything back up after you blow it out. Ready to go in spring. CJ

Don't blow out the gauge by pressurizing it with an air nozzle, they only are designed for about 30 PSI not 125. If I had mine hooked up I'd block the line off and fish without it in winter.

Your cooling water gauge is 30 the speedo is 70+. I always have it on regulated air. I guess I thought that went without saying, sorry.

The line should be 1/4". Find a pneumatic T fitting and a plug. Pull the plug in winter works great.

I disconnected the speedo line and nothing came out. It looked pretty corroded in there. Guess that's why it's not working!!
