    More speed

Right now I知 running a tempest plus 25p , with 2 power poles, loaded with gear and usually only half tank of gas (I知 around small lakes) and just 1 other fishing partner, I知 running 68-69 around 58-5900 rpm, I would like to get a few more mph , any suggestions on which prop to try ? Tempest plus 26? Or Something different altogether?
Oh yeah it痴 on Mercury 250 2013 z8. Thx

Bas your prop been worked by a prop guy? Have you raised your motor till it lost speed and or water pressure? Both can give more than prop. Now I wouldn't go to a 26 tempest plus since your not getting the rev limiter now, but a bravo 4 xs may be the ticket in size 26, (it's like a 25 with more cup)

What would be the rpm’s when hitting the rev limiter?

6150, but 6000 is the goal. After raising the motor 1/4" at a time and you loose water pressure or speed lower back down 1/4"

Also 25p at 5900 and a 24 will gain you 150ish rpm or a 26 would loose 150ish rpm. If prop slip isn't affected. But from all my reading i would get your prop to the sweet spot then send it in with notes like height, trim, rpm, speed, and how the boat is lifting( bow not coming up/ could use more stern lift)

I’ve got the same setup but with a 26 Tempest Plus. I’m running low to mid 70’s at ~5800.
