1991 190 SC new to me!

Hello everyone, I'm the proud new owner of a 1991 190 SC with a Merc 150 XR4. I haven't had a bass boat in 15 years and I've never owned a Champion before this one so I'm super excited about finding one in good shape.

I do have a question for the experts here regarding a jackplate. My boat doesn't have one and I'm wondering if there is any speed or other advantage to be gained by adding one. I'd also like to add a keel guard and a hot foot so does anyone know what length throttle cable I'll need and what is the ideal length on a keel guard? Currently the boat has a Solas Scorpion 25p prop if it matters. Thanks!

With a small gear case XR4 I wouldn’t bother with a plate. Just go fishing.

Now if you find a 200 for it we can further the discussion.
