I'm curious about the new 15' Talons and the installed height above a Mercury 150-4S. Does anyone know what that would be? I have a 10' tall garage door. Will other colors beside black and silver/black be offered at some point in the future?

I'm sure it will launch with the full color lineup except camo, and I would definitely get tilt bracket also, that will make anything possible

Thanks Fishysam. I too, was thinking the tilt brackets would have all the bases covered. I'll probably wait a year or so before I get into the serious purchase mode.

I would make it on the top end of my priorities myself especially before spawn but I would save the cash and find a new 12' and save the new price on the "new" unit that has the same technology just some bells and whistles that you could add yourself

I have the old style two stage 8ft Talons which are a lot taller than the new style three stage 8 ft Talons. I have an 8ft tall garage door and mine clear with several inches but less than a foot to spare. With a 10 ft tall garage door I would bet the 15ft talon would clear. Do you know the specs on the length of the 15 ft Talon. If so we could compare to my length and get an estimate of how much clearance is needed.

In the video at the 1:40 mark it shows a 12 ft model going through a 8ft door with a few inches to spare. Under the video click on MODELS and look at the specs. The 12 ft is 57" and the 15 ft is 69" so if the 12 ft clears a 8 ft door with a few inches to spare then the 15 ft should clear a 9 ft door with a few inches to spare. The OP said he has a 10 ft garage door so he should have plenty of clearance. This is the first video I have seen of the 15 ft model. I like the built in light and the new streamlined design. I wonder if the 6,8,10 and 12 will also go to the streamlined design. I am totally happy with my two stage generation 1 8ft model. I thought about getting a set of the generation 2 three stage 8ft model but all I done was think about it. The new streamlined version really has my attention. If I get the itch hard enough my bank account may take a hit
