looks cool. i painted a few years ago and noticed they don't vibrate as good once you put clear coat or whatever on them so i don't anymore. Then again, i rarely find it necessary to use gold instead of just silver.

The Clearcoat that I use is so thin that it does not make any difference. I have used epoxy in the past and it did cause vibration loss. These large blade baits would take a lot to stop. Bigger and thicker hooks can also rob the vibration performance.

Mike what hook have you been using while you are sourcing the VMC spark points ?

VMC 9908BN Limerick hooks ... I want the SparkPoints as they are heavier wire and sharper

From what I hear, The 9908BN are discontinued... That is probably why they are hard to find..
