Cost to Install Atlas Hydraulic Jack Plate

What is a reasonable price to pay a Skeeter dealer to install a 12 inch Atlas Hydraulic jack plate with gauge and blinker style height adjuster on an FX20?

My dealer quoted me 2 hours labor 140 per hour. And 1600 for the jackplate

2 hrs sounds about right. shop rate sounds a little high though.

If you are buying the jackplate I would look at the Bobs instead of the Atlas.

Make sure dealer knows what they are doing....Skeeter uses an adhesive on the jackplates....You can damage the fiberglass and it will come off in chunks if you do not properly prep and remove the old jackplate.

I heard that they stopped using that adhesive (5200, I think). That stuff takes fiberglass off with it.

I heard they use something else (weaker) on the newer boats (2017 and newer). It may not be as bad.

Probally the 4200 adhesive ?
