    Any of you guys have a BA 10 or 110 Savage stealth

    I am thinking of one in in 6.5 Creedmore, my son thinks 338 Lup. Just wanting you guys opinion. Looking at some 1000 yard plinking mostly.

    6.5 Creedmoor will ring steel at 1000 yards no problem. You can buy 4 rounds for every one 338 round. I still want a 338 though.

    So i think it is a fantastic gun, but the Ruger Precision is better and take double stack PMAGS...........

    In what ways do you think it's better. Just seeking information as my son had also suggested the Ruger and another slightly higher end gun.

    Noticed that Cabelas has the Ruger on sale for $1199.

    I can get a Savage for about $800 after rebate. Big difference. The scope is the $.

    Roddy, do yourself a favor and purchase a really good scope. My preference is the Swarovski Z5 with the ballistic turret. You can send in your bullet ballistics and they will build a custom turret that you can replace. Sighting in this scope is by far the easiest I have found and they are simple to use. the 6.5 round loves a 130 to 145 grain bullet. pick what you want. I use a 130 grain bullet on everything from whitetails to antelope to mule deer.

    Thanks Tyson, My son has the high end vortex scope oon his 1000 yard gun and really likes it. My gunsmith is a sponsored competition shooter and he shoots the vortex also.
