I have a older Jag with the same hull of the Cougar. I saw 74mph @ 588O rpm's this weekend. Holeshot was/is great with the livewell full and power poles, 4 Duracell AGMS{sams club} 112 MK...So it did ok and it does well in turns.. It was driveable and no real squirly and lose feeling. Chine was minimal but easy to drive still...

I bought Phil Addison’s 26 Fury4 that was tweaked by Ronnie Gilbert. He ran it to 80 on a Puma. I had it out this past weekend and was running a consistent 77 (5870 RPM) in my Cougar w/ 8’ blades and full gas, gear and livewells. I still need to get JP height and trim set up properly. I expect a little more out of it. Holeshot is better than my 26P Fury3 and of course slow speed handling is too.
