    Gas/Fuel Smell in compartments

Is there anything I can do to get the smell out?

Open all the compartment lids and remove all the contents.
Wash everything that may smell like fuel with Dawn or Simple Green before putting it back.
Air out the compartments, running fans to get air circulating (careful of open sparks from electric motors if there is heavy fuel vapor presence!).
Add powder desiccant or dehumidifiers if needed to help pull odors out.
Most important: Trace the source of the fuel smell and get it fixed. Leaking fittings, or cracked tank? Old fuel lines may be broken down, needing replacement. Old plastic gas tanks might permeate gas smells too.

A lot of people will just open the rear compartment a little. This vent helps or eliminates the smell.

Fuel smell is common... Just vent the compartments, opening the lid above the tank is the best way (if you have that)... Just about every boat I have owned has a fuel smell in the compartments over time.... But checking for leaks is good if it is real strong....
