    Mercury Fury 25p qestion

Simple question but want to make sure. Saw some braided line on my prop and took off for the first time. Two washers and a larger size washer came off. Not sure the sequence but I put one washer on first, then the prop, then the larger washer and thenthe last washer, put the prop nut on and prop seems secure. Is this the correct sequence ? Been looking on the internet and can’t find anything to detail this.

    Thanks for for your feedback.

Is it a fat shaft with metal racing hub? Hub first then prop, large thick washer, cupped Bellville washer, then regular flat washer then nut. Just look at post #4. Grout do you have a fat shaft 1 1/4" on your motor?

nah, mines been replaced with a service master. Its a 1” shaft, right? The nut is a 1 1/16.

Only a torquemaster would have a 1 1/4”, right? You have me thinking now, guess I’ll measure my extra torque flo.

gabes1 you might want to check your lower unit oil to make sure that braided line didn't cut the shaft seals on the motor and let some water in.
