    17 B mag optics

    I purchased a Savage 17 wsm with the Boyd's thumb hole stock last year and put a BSA 17 scope on it. Not sure I really like the optics. What are you guys looking through?

    I would definitely ditch the BSA. Dollar for dollar, Nikon has always been a good scope to me but there are lots of good ones out there.

    Check out the Vortex Crossfire II. Not very pricey and it has a BDC reticle.

    I have a Nikon on another rifle I may swap out. I also like the Vortex line. Didn't want to tie up too much money in the 17 but looking back wish I'd went on and spent the extra on a decent scope. I do like the really fine cross hair on the BSA but the glass quality is terrible.

    I've got an old, cheap scope that I need to replace too. I've got it on my list of things to do.
