I have a front (closer to the seats) and rear (closer to the engine)fuel tank. They are both cent of the boat. Which one would you keep full if you were only going to use one?

I would think the back...better to have the weight in the back. You will be able to get better lift on the bow while running WOT. But I'm far from an expert.

Thank you guys.
Yep, faster with the rear. Might break waves better if you go with the seat tanks.
I believe the front tank is 18 gallons vs the rear which is 12??
You can pull the rear tank and slide the front tank back giving you more capacity. Access to disconnecting the rear fuel and vent lines is sort of a PITA though.
Should be 24 rear 18 front.
Whichever, rear is larger.

I recently drained both thanks and they hold 22 gallons each.
What Pat said is what was advertised, 18 gallon Aux tank under the seats and 24 gallon main tank sitting in the center of the tank compartment.
In my 87, I believe the front tank is about 20 gal. and the rear tank is 24 gals.
Front 18....rear 24. Use rear!
