I would like to know too...anybody else know about them? I know absolutely nothing about set up or performance of the new hulls. But I heard that there WAS a difference from the X hulls. Only thing that I do know is that they look a slightly different version of badazz compared to the X's...

I believe suk35 has that setup. I've heard it will run!

I have a 21SS/300xs/DBR1.3 that I have run 102 with a 32Perfomer4,For everyday fishing with 2 people it will run 92 to 93 with a Hydromotive 30 sst at 1.625 above pad,I also have 1.75 for gears.Arrons boat is a good bit faster than mine,I know he has ran 105+ with his boat. There is a video a couple of pages back of my boat running.
I am working on a trade on a 300x just trying to see the gains I might see before finishing the transaction. Trapp with the dbr kit how much did you gain over a stock engine I keep hearing mixed reviews on the gains I would see the ones I have heard are all speculations. I have a good mechanic but he thinks seeing 10 mph would be hard to accomplish with out a lot of extra work and tweaking.
Your mechanic is correct. The biggest change you are going to see is the number of stops at the
gas station. You never said what motor you have now or your boat. The X is as fast if not a little
faster than a XS, same horse power. 2005 was the best year for the X. The 21ss is bad fast but
you have got to know how to drive it, no if and or butts, you got to have seat time.
I prop mine to turn 6000rpms,they dont make much power above that.I have the Mike Nass alien cowl on my boat to let it breath better.I think the biggest gains is all the way thru the power band from hole shot to 6000rpms after that you are not going to gain much spinning your motor above that range on a XS motor.I can not say what the gains would be with a 300X,Aaron is the only 1 that I know of that has the 300X on the SS hull. The ss hull is very forgiving if you get in trouble,It will not hook like the X hull but it is a pretty hairy ride.I run mine with a fishing load,2 people at roughly 440lb and plenty of tackle,It is strong all the way thru up to 6000rpms,They take lean sots out of the factory and make the power from idle to 6000rpm.The only time I lighened my hull was to put up a good #(102) with all tackle removed,But I was at 300lb when I made those runs, all batteries, trolling motor and enough ballast to keep the boat level .If you plan on making high speed passes and the hull starts to go side to side you need to get on the trim and slow down slowly, I have blown out above 99+ on several occasions and always got slowed down without anything bad happening.TRy to get up with Aaron and pick his brain,he is the MAN on the SS hull.THe SS hull is very forgiving when you push the limits.Be safe in your quest to get all you can out of the hull,One thing to remember take it slow and get a feel for what it tells you,I have had mine come out from under at 99.4 and its a pretty good ride.Be safe and enjoy,I I can help please send me a PM. I will answer all the questions that i Can.I will be happy to help any one try to get the most out of there set-up

I have a 21ss now with a a 250xs with 1.62 sportmaster on back solo it will run 90 with a 28 bravo two men Tournament load livewells and all 86mph at around 6000rpm I turned a 32 bravo 92mph but can't get rpm I think it only turned 5580 if my memory serves correct
Chris ran Hubert Davis 21SS /250XS combo to 97 with a 32 pitch prop. Paul ran one 97.8, same set up but do not not what prop.
Sounds like they are even faster than the 20' X-hulls...like up to 10 mph faster! Is that pretty much what you guys think too? I really didn't think the 20' X's could be improved on...but looks like I'm dead wrong.

aron has been 108 with his 300X/21ss.
A 20XD is 2.5-3 MPH faster than the 21SS. I ran a 32 Pro ET on the 21SS/250XS combo.

Thanks Paul...looks like I'm dead wrong about being dead wrong now. I would be very happy with either one though it sounds like.
