    STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AT STONEWALL

Per WV Bass Federation Results sheet

    Total participants: 108
    Total fish weighed: 211
    Total weight: 422

    Avg #fish/participant: 2
    Avg weight/participant: 3.99
    Avg fish weight: 2.00

2 Day tournament was won with a 9 fish total of 17.08 lbs.

Big fish for tournament was 5.66 lbs

Heard through the grapevine that the DNR released 2000 hatchery muskies into Stonewall last week.

Considering the number of bass fisherman that use that lake and the amount of money spent in the state by those bass fisherman, as compared to number of muskie fisherman and what they spend, that someone somewhere high up on the political food chain is interested in SJ becoming solely a muskie lake.

    Damn shame

I have to agree Gene. I’d rather all the musky be put into Stone Coal. Leave Stonewall for bass. Big musky and plenty of them can eat their share of bass.
