    COBRA PARTS FOR LIDS/HATCHES

I am redoing my boat. I've removed all the carpet, center flipping deck addition, and all currently all of the lids. Sanded down all of the adhesives and sanded down to the fiberglass in areas I want to make some small repairs (like the hotfoot, and fishing seats).

I will be dipping the lids in black acrylic paint, before placing them back on the boat. Then will be adding a "SeaDek" type of material to the top of the deck. The thing I need help with right now, is I'm not sure if I need to put a trim around the aluminum lids before they go back on? I will also be installing new trim/seals to the under sides of some of the compartments.

Does anyone know the size of the trim from the Bass Cat Boats so I can compare it to the price from McmasterCarr?

I used automotive trim when I redid my carpet, it goes onteh same but is a little thicker and seems to hold up much better. Picked it up at O'Reilly's and was cheaper than the crap that came on the boat. Remember, anytime "marine" is attached to the name, the cost of the product goes up by at least 100%.
