I snagged a rod this summer on Barkley Lake. Finally decided to clean it up and put it to use. While cleaning it I realized it had a persons name added to the rod. James Eady. If anyone knows James have him contact me and I will get it back to him.

Looking online, there is somebody by that name in Kuttawa.

Apparently there are two. I assume father and son but I haven't been able to access a phone #. Any one from Katawa with a phone book? I guess I will try when I get down there this weekend.
James has been located. Thank you catfan!

that's the way everyone should be!
Cool story!
Going home to put my name on my rods and reels, haha. Very nice gesture.
Gary, if you get in touch and get the rod back to him, I think we'd all like to hear the story.

I meet up with James Friday night in Kattawa and returned his rod and reel. He lost it while kayak fishing. He thought he must of hung it on a low laying limb and drug it out the back of the boat. He went back and looked for it but it was no where to be found. Apparently he had snagged it on the crappie bed in mineral mounds because that is were I caught it on a chatter bait. When I finally got around to cleaning it up is when I found his name. It was faded but I used some trim restorer on the rod and his name came through clearly. I'm just glad I could get it to its rightful owner. Thanks again Catfan for you research to help find Mr. Eady. I'm thinking of finding I good rod builder and having my name put on all my rods.
That's awesome rockangler
Awesome story. Glad it all worked out. James Eady must have been excited to get his rod and reel back.
