    Catfish or Bass?

Didn't fish this hole long and did not catch anything. Makes me think they were catfish. Pretty good shadows though.

Run 2d over them next time. Might give you better idea of size and hardness. Catfish will usually send a stronger return.

I did all the suggestions above, but probably did not spend enough time fishing as I had located a wad of fish at the other end of the lake (pre-fishing for a tournament). I enlarged the SideScan to highlight most of the fish with a "brighter" spot one one end of the fish. I believe these are catfish mixed in with some Kentucky bass. I will be back to check these fish out more thoroughly.

Is that a small weed bed they're hanging on?

Pretty sure it is rubble from RR tracks.

I've been seeing a lot of gar stacked up like that on rayburn. Thousands in one small area but they will come up to the surface so you know what it is. That looks like a brush pile that was in front of that dock. It does look like bass around that but it also looks like some big cats too

When I saw the discussion about Gar, it reminded me of this pic i took on my home lake a few weeks ago. They turned out to be Gar.

I can't say with certainty that they are all gar, but I did observe surfacing activity like gar. I spent about an hour trying Spoons, drop shot etc. trying to catch one but could not get bit. A buddy came along that was fishing for Walleye with jig/night crawlers. He caught 3 Huge Gar (at least 36 inches) in short order.

They've been doing the same thing here. Schools in the hundreds atleast and surfacing just like you say. Think I snagged one with a crankbait but it came off before I could see it.
