You can spend a lot of money on props and it will still be hard to beat a 28 Bravo for fishing.

That's a strong running boat already...she's gonna fly when you get her up! You're good at 80 but on the edge for sure...

I would wait to get your set up where you want to be before doing that. Drives much better as motor goes up...less steering torque.

Alight. I’ll raise the motor another 1/4 and try it

If you are running higher motor settings...the trim tab (if we're talking about the fin on the cav plate) doesn't even make it into the water at speed so it doesn't affect steering torque at all. It's only function on a high mount Bullet is as an anode for corrosion resistance (and extra weight). Steering torque will lighten up as more of the prop (blades) gets out of the water. I can almost one hand it at 1" above the pad...hydraulic steering is probably helping out too. I've seen videos of Paul Nichols one handing a 20cc at 115 mph. I think he is 2" above the pad...maybe even a 1/4-1/2" above that. He is the Bullet master in every way! Most of what I have learned came indirectly from his guidance. He's the man! Never met him but would love too...I know he is on here.
