    Elephant Butte Lake

As of today EB is at 4321.85 ft elevation (14.6 percent full) with spill way being 4407 ft. It is 20 ft higher than last year at the same time and is coming up very slow right now. Lots of debris floating and the water is very stained.

Went out yesterday at 11:00 am until 1:30, only caught a short black. Was out the other day and caught a limit of keepers between 10:00 and 1:00 with a hand full of shorts. I guess I would say it's spuratic at best. I don't get out very early, 8:30 to 9:00 is early for me as I can go when ever I want. I enjoy just running the lake just about as much as fishing these days. One of the perks of being old.

Fishing is still tough for me. Went out about 11:30 this morning and caught 2 keeper LM and 2 shorts, got of about 2:00. I guess if I went out earlier it might be better but the lake was calm with a little ripple and I enjoy running the boat between fishing spots.
If you want to come down and check EB out let me know, depending on the time I could probably put you up and save some $$.
