Has anyone filled their tank when it as first empty? Did it actually hold 50 gallons. Trying to calibrate and was told its a 50 gal tank but will actually only hold about 47 gals due to EPA standards for expansion.

At the factory, I was also told the same. A certain amount of air space is an EPA requirement.
Anyone have real life experience filling the tank up for the first time re capacity?
