    Thumbs Up Happiness is.......................

Happiness is owning a Mercury 2.5 280 ROS outboard rebuilt around 4 years ago by Lee Sanderson that has 120 hours on it. It just tested out at 150PSI compression across all 6 cylinders with leakdown of 4% in all 6 cylinders, and a BIG to Lee and his crew. Thank you for all you have done for me over the years!

Happiness is also when you drop the hammer on that thing and it pushes you back into the seat like a space shuttle launch

The acceleration with it on my XB2003 is fantastic, just one of the reasons I have never gotten very serious about getting the newer 21 ft. Allison. They are great boats, but lack the adrenaline rush you get with the combination I have.

The best happiness is when you get that first Allison and realize you will never have to go back to "That other" boat again. Maybe the word is you "Won't ever" go back to that other boat again. Once you feel it, its a done deal.

Glad all is still good Bob. The 280's are awesome engines. Thanks for the kind words!!!!

By the way, your engine on a 21 ProSport would totally shock you.

Accelerate just a little slower. Probably carry a fishing load the same speed or faster but be slower solo and light by 5 mph would be my guess

Rich Sebesta has a 280 on his bassport Pro and it literally launches out of the hole. fastest hole shot on a 21 I've ever seen. He has not messed with setup at all so I'll bet it would be a rocket in the hands of an experienced owner. He ran it up to 91 the first few weeks he owned it and I don't think he's gone that fast since. That was over 1/2" below the pad and negative trim.

Richard, Craig, and I at one point ran 3 wide this year at the rally 90mph+. I was getting some evil looks from the wife, but yellow 21 runs well with the 280. Its the only 21 I've seen with a 280.
