    Hey Kansas guys:

I have to travel to Wichita area due to a death in the family.

I am going to be there until Thursday - can anyone clue me in on some good bank spots to fish for bass while I am there?

Or even someone in the area that might want a fishing partner for a day?

I know this is short notice - but it never hurts to ask.

    Tight Lines.

    Wishin' I was fishin'...

If you drive an hour north of Wichita there is Marion County lake. It has a lot of docks to fish off of all around the lake.

Sorry for your loss. Wish I was closer to Wichita.
From what I hear, Wichita has quite a few city lakes and ponds. That might be your best bet unless someone around there can take you out.
See the Urban Areas tab on this map.

The kdot ponds just north of Wichita in park city are pretty good. You can fish lay downs for hours from the bank in the west one. I've never had much luck bass fishing the east one. The are located on each side of 135 just north of the 235 135 k96 interchange. Black and blue jig is all you will need.

Thanks for the reply guys - I haven’t really had time to fish. Will be here until Sunday, will try to hit these spots.
