    Candlewood Ramp/Hotel

    Hey all,
Hitting up CandleWood on Veterans Day weekend. Be coming up from the Philly area. Looking to stay at the Quality Inn on Federal Rd in Danbury; any issues with the hotel or area? Plan on using the Lattins Cove Launch.

Any information or better suggestions than above please let me know.

I stay at the Rocky River Inn when I go to Candlewood and use the Squantz ramp. Boat friendly. Nice BBQ place down the road. Used Latina a few time.....milfoil drapes trailer when pulling out

The Quality Inn has no outdoor plugs for your boat. You have to run cords out the window. Depending on your room you may need a 100 ft cord at least.

Rocky River is good. Newbury Inn in Brookfield is also very good and very close to Latins cove launch ramp that has parking for over 100 boats. Newbury Inn is about 15 minutes away and in a safe area but still near all the stores for coffee and food.

They are already draining the lake.. Latins is sketchy at best. Squantz is better option.. The quality inn is kind of the closest... remember.. t hey already took the hazard buoy's out and are draining the lake.. be safe.

Lake has been very low and Latin’s was not launch friendly BUT we did just get 6” of rain on sunday. They’re not starting the draw down until December 1st.

They had to already draw some water. The lake was probably down 2 - 3 feet.. that doesn't just happen on Candlewood unless they pull water.

Ya we’ve been in a drought for months so they pulled some to feed the river to make power. They’re not allowed to fill it back up until the water goes under 50 degrees because of zebra mussel threat.

Thanks guys. Per the info on the CLA site, water level is 427.5 which seems to be a normal "summer level"
Anybody have any clue what the water temp is or how fishing in general has been?

Was out yesterday for awhile. Water was 58-60 a little stained. It will drop this week with night temps going into the 30’s and this weekend night temps maybe in the teens. Some guys are catching them good and some guys are catching them good but with live bait. Definetly bring warm clothes it’s going to be chilly
