I don't like braid to FC leaders in general and rarely use them in any situation. I know some guys have success doing so, but straight FC for me works best. I use both spinning and casting tackle depending on the situation or conditions.

I'm used to it and that has become my go to due to drop shotting... So much line twist with straight FC. I've just developed a confidence in the setup like that.

I do love the 7# FC Sniper, that is what I use in my drop shotting

I don't use line that heavy myself. The majority of my Vision 110 fishing is with 7# Sunline Super FC Sniper which Aaron Martens turned me onto many years ago. There is a good article by Randy Blaukat about the Vision 110 where he recommends 6 to 10# line at max.

Done that before lol. Local dogfight one night, and was wearing them out on it. Busted it on the head of my trolling motor and changed to a different color never caught another fish on it.

Did you check to make sure it wasn't a $6 RC stick in a Megabass box ? LOL. Maybe you paid $12 for a $6 bait in a fancy box. Hope not.

Worked at the local cabelad during college. There was someone that was actually doing that. They were buying luck craft and other more expensive baits and replacing them with knock offs that somewhat matched the original. If I remember correct they did it three times before someone caught on. Also reminds me of the time someone cried that their bullet chronograph didn't work. Opened up the box and seen it didn't work because the person that returned it had shot through the electronics part of the chrono.

Since you're from Jersey, you do any Rockfishing? If you do, that is the bait to use. Of course I use heavier line, 15# FC. I absolutely destroy the rockfish with the Vision 110, and 110+
