    Transducer mounting ?

    I have a 618 and I'm going to install a hummingbird unit at the console.A helix 10 si if it makes any difference.Where is the best place to install transducer.Will the hole shot plate on the jackplate work?I know it won't read going down the lake.

    Best place to put it is on the hole shot plate. Make sure to get a Transducer Shield and Wedge. http://www.transducershieldandsaver....ds/humminbird/
    One of the other guys can help you with the model you will need, as I still have 1198's
