    Hole shot plate transducer mounting

Has anyone extended the hole shot plate on a 10 inch slidemaster to the bottom of the Jack Plate to mount an LSS 2 transducer?

This is an LSS1 mounted to a 10" Slidemaster. I used 3/4" self tapping screws, but 1/2" screws may be better.

There is about a 1/2" space behind the JP mounting plate

Thanks Ed R, that is a good idea.

I wanted the holeshot plate mostly to reduce backwash when I come off of plane. It mounts upinside the jackplate.
I was thinking about extending it to the bottom, but that might be difficult and not completely stable

I have the holeshot plate on mine as well. Just seemed like a lot of fabricating vs 20 cents for self tapping screws.
