    Under Seat Storage

While installing new seats I had a bit of an idea. Being that my seats flip up that leaves access directly under it. The area below is roughly 6" deep and hollow aluminum. I think I even have an access panel that allowed acces to the heated seat wiring.

Anyone thought about cutting out a portion and adding a sorta tray for storage?? Would provide good out of sight storage for wallet keys etc.

    Any examples or thoughts ??

You'd better be careful, lots of boats have gas tanks under the seats.

Rangers RT series has storage under the flip up seats. I keep all sorts of stuff under there, running lights, ropes, jumper cables, etc...

Unless you actually SAW the hull when you had that part out, I'd still be very careful. In my 201 Pro Elite, the fuel cell is actually L shaped, and is both behind AND underneath the seats.

We have been installing seat and back heating units on Mastercraft seats as an option for the last 4-5 years now. I did not think it would go over very well when they asked about putting the heater units in their chairs but it continues to be wanted by the retail customer. I fish more in the cold weather than I do in the summer, but I am not putting heated seats in my Bullet.
