Those of you installing BBT or Precision Sonar brackets on 2018 boats...

For those of you planning to or have already installed BBT or Precision Sonar after-market console & bow mount brackets, how are you going about ordering your new Ranger? Are you having them flush mount factory install the Carbons or can you request Ranger to just factory mount all ducers, install and run all NMEA, Enet and ducer cables behind console, etc. and just purchase and install the Carbon units after-market? I'm sure Van & Randy have already thought about it and it's hard to get a product sourcing deal with Ranger, but wouldn't it be cool if we could just order their brackets through Ranger and have our new baby arrive from the factory all ready to go!?!

I mean it just seems crazy to order a bow flush mount installed from the factory if you plan to install an after-market floor mount bow bracket. You then need to order a new replacement panel for the bow. Seems to make more sense to just have Ranger run all the cables and install the bilge and SS ducer and purchase and install your own electronics once you get your new boat home. What are y'alls thoughts?

You can submit a MSR (Manufacture Service Request) to Ranger at the time you place the order to build and have them run all the wires then ship the unit loose...

I wanted a flush Solix 12 SI at the bow, but it won't fit. So I decided to bump it up to a Solix 15 SI on a BBT mount.

Your dealer can order the Ranger you want with what ever electronics you want and simply tell Ranger in the order to ship the electronics lose. The boat will have the transducers and all working already ran, all your dealer has to do is hook them up and your ready to go. Have your dealer contact Van or Randy for the mounts you want, that way the mounts will be there ready to install when ur new lady comes in. That’s how we do most all our Ranger orders.

Thanks Rodney. So when the boat arrives at your dealership, the ducer, ethernet, nmea cables are bundled up under the console and tucked behind the blow plate? To be clear, the boat arrives with solid uncut console and bow plates?

Got a new 521 L ordered. Gonna have a pair of Solix 12's on BBT mount on console. Was assured console would be uncut! New rig would be pre wired for the birds but dealer would do the install.

Yes sir that’s right. You want to be sure and order the Ethernet cable from the console to the bow if u get Lowrance units.
