    Painting fiberglass

My wife has a power wheel chair with a glass body.
This thing has taken a beating while she learned how to maneuver it and I would like to paint it after some sanding, and prep.
I will be using rattle cans of auto enamel.
What is a good primer, topcoat, and should I consider a clear coat?

    Thanks all.

I would not use self etching on fiberglass.
Look at https://www.semproducts.com/product/...rimer-surfacer expensive but we'll worth it. I would use there top coat as well many colors.
If you could spray with a gun I would say a two part epoxy primer followed by a urethane.

Why paint it? That will just require further maintenance when she bangs it up again.
Use a bed liner product. Check out this member's post using Monstaliner - turned out pretty good! She could enter a demo derby with her power chair if she wanted to!

IMO this is the best answer.
If you are set on painting it. Get some high build primer, shoot it sand it and paint it. Paint works just fine with glass.
