For you guys running an Ultrex

Is there a way to adjust the speed (power) while in Spot-Lock? Dang thing almost threw me in the drink today while repositioning...

Yes. Adjust the boat scale setting. I had to set mine to something like -2 to get it to stop trying to throw me off the deck. After the adjustment its perfect.

Like everyone else, I have mine on -2 as well. With everyone seeming to use that setting it makes me wonder what +2 is for.

I'll admit, I'm bad about reading directions/instructions, assume this is done with the remote? Mine is still wrapped in plastic....

I've only used one, it was mounted on a Z21 Nitro. There is a huge difference in an 18' alumninum boat and a wide body 21' glass rig. Thus needing those variable settings.

Got it home yesterday, installed the app on my Droid and got my phone paired with it. The way they installed it, I can't lower the unit to check settings. Where is the boat scale setting?

You can adjust the boat scale on the remote with out even powering up the motor/foot pedal. I like mine better in -1 for my RT188.

Ultrex Report. The absolute best accessory I've ever bought, including the Helix 7s. Thanks for the tip on Boat Scale setting, -2 was ideal. On Sunday, we had constant 15mph. Spot Lock was "spot on" and using the remote was excellent. I especially like the electric steering. It was also quieter than the Fortrex. Yesterday, we fished by the Bankhead Dam, locking on a point that always produces. Held easily in the current. My highest rating - it's worth every penny.
