I-pilot link when coupled with humminbird electronics has more capabilities than plain I-pilot.
Including the ability to follow a contour depth line and also a track back.
So the advantage is with Hummingbird. As I use Lowrance the I -pilot is fine alone?
I got nothin
yes
Yes, the biggest advantage is with the Humminbird unit. I have several customers that run Lowrance buying the link in anticipation of getting the 360 transducer and a "stand alone" Humminbird. When they do that, they can use the "link" part of the Ultrex with the Humminbird and they will still have the Lowrance networked with the console in order to see waypoints that have been marked with the console.

Thanks everyone.

I am one of the "several" and so glad you talked me into going this way. I am having a blast with my Ultrex, 360 and Helix you sold me. I love my Lowrance Touches, but the features the 360/Helix/iPilot Link coupled with the LakeMaster card give me the best of both worlds. Thanks again John.
