HDSI transducer on 1159 DI unit

A HDSI transducer does not have a Down Imaging crystal. You cannot add Side Imaging to a DI unit with SI transducer.

I realize I can't add side imaging but I have an extra transducer that came with a 1198 and it has both down and side ?? I didn't know if the down imaging part of that transducer was any better ??

It does NOT have Down Imaging, stated that in the first sentence above.
The 1198 has a Down Imaging view that is created by blending the two SI pulses.
