    Serial Number Help

I have a 225 OPTI that has a 2003 lower end with a visible serial number. My problem is the upper end was replaced and I believe it was with a 2006 rebuild.Where can I find the serial number on the upper end to identify correct block number?

Look on the freeze plug on the block.

Thanks for the info. I looked this evening and that is where it looks like it is. The block has been repainted when it was rebuilt and it looks like they filled in part of the numbers with paint. When I get a chance I will drop lower cowling for better visibility Thanks again

Let's try this- snap a few pictures of the powerhead from the back, front, and each side. Post them up and let's see what you're working with.

Odds are it matches your serial number, but we should be able to determine that (reasonably) from the pictures.
