Just a Batt Charger Mounting Tip

I'm sure some do as I did but I continually see posts on where to put what and where in a Bullet.....Batts, Chargers, Livewell and Aerator motors....ect..
The next time you have your fuel tank out, the perfect most sensible place for your Bank Charger is on the inside of your transom, up high just below the splash well.
Mounted here it's totally out of the way, in an otherwise unused space, centered in the boat and mounted on the most solid area in the boat!
    JMO....Enjoy your Fall Fishing!!!!

Same here, added weight for nothing. I like putting smart chargers on my battery's. Then i know exactly whats going on. I'll know the exact % left, and exact Voltage of my batteries. Also i can pick how many amps i'm putting in my batteries instead of just a fix amp.

Mine are hanging on the wall in my shop, I have connectors that I just plug in to charge them. I have one on one side for the cranking battery and one for the trollers.

I use a smart charger at 35a. Nobody makes an onboard charger built to my specs and a boat is a rough environment for electronics plus the weight

Now I differ. I like my charger onboard, just my opinion. It’s with me when I travel and ready to go. I also keep a 100’ 12/3 extension cord for when I’m at a motel.

I certainly didn't mean to start a Hate Group!!!
Second, is a Volt Meter and knowing how to use/read it is a guy's BEST Friend if he has multi batteries to maintain!!!
Myself, I have no less than 10 battery chargers but I love the "get home, plug up and go to bed" of my onboard!
I charged batteries separate for years but Times AND Chargers have changed with tecnology....You Should Keep-up!!!
The 5 pounds of weight is nill......and if you think 5 pounds will hurt your speed then come to Sardis and I'll show you what a Loaded Down Bullet runs like!!!!

Not a hate group, just ppl giving there opinions on why they like better a on board or external charger.

Over the years i have learnt that just because it makes sense to me does not mean it makes sense to others.

Personally i will GLADLY put chargers on my batteries to remove weight. To others that might sound crazy. It cost me 1500$ for a Carbon fiber cowling just remove 10 pounds. Removing a 5+ pound charger makes sense to me.

I just like to have as little in the bilge as possible because I don't like seeing wires when I open the lid.

Do any of you run Lithium batteries to save weight? Probably going with lithium on new boat purchase, as i am going with 36v system. Takes a specific charger too evidently.
