Can anyone recommend a safe place to stay for a week at Sam Rayburn?
Or places to avoid?
Cabin or small hotel. Safe boat parking.
Mid lake to south end is where we would like to stay.
2 people, taking own food a grill.
Thanks, Joe

I understand that the Rayburn Inn (http://www.rayburninn.com/), formerly Bass Buster Inn has gone through some renovation in the past couple of years. It is handy to good eats and launch area. I've stayed there on all my trips to Rayburn. Another that I don't really know anything about is Sam Rayburn Marina Resort (http://www.samrayburnmarina.com/?ref...assFishing.com), formerly Twin Dikes Marina. Not far from Bass Buster and right on the water. Rayburn Country (http://rayburncountryresort.com/) is also on the south end, but could be on the upper end of the price scale.
If your bringing all your food and stuff Powell park is a nice place. They even have some boat slips you can keep your boat in. They have a store and restaurant. They are kind of out away from other places but not terribly bad. Stayed there many times and never any problems
Sam Rayburn Marina has boat slips and cabins, just no pets!
I have stayed at Rayburn Country, they give a discount for fishermen and from what I hear are cheaper than the remodeled Bass Buster, aka Rayburn Inn.
Janes Shady Acres has trailers and cabins, but it is near Cassel Boykins, not on the south end.
One thing to remember, if you stay on the south end and the wind is blowing you are probably going to trailer somewhere anyway.

Thanks for the replies, it helps alot!
By the way, I live at Barkley Lake. Fish on Kentucky Lake half the time.
If anyone is coming this way and needs help or input, let me know.
I fish from midlake to north.
Does anyone know of any places that do accept very small dogs. I have a little man that enjoys fishing with me and hates to miss a trip.
Rayburn Country Motel is very nice with great boat parking and electricity for charging.
