Not sure how to explain as as I can barely change a light bulb, but last night I pulled a chunk of plastic out from under the top of my trailer tongue. It looked to be dry rioted as it broke in pieces very easily. What it is it, do I need to be concerned. Its 2008 929. Thanks in advance.
If it was inside the ball socket or on top of your trailer ball it may have been some kind of friction reducing device, although I have never seen one there. Since it broke up easily it doesn't seem up to that kind of usage.
Was it under the tongue where the ball goes or under a brake actuator? Picture would help.
