Interface cable for Lowrance

I installed this a few weeks ago, how accurate are the readings coming from the engine. Will the rpm's be on the money. really like having all the info, engine temp, oil pressure, hours, etc.

They should be as it is reading directly from the ECM.

Yes its very accurate, if you add a sensor you can also get water pressure, and a data manager and get fuel info

Had a Merc Monitor on my 250 XS. Loved it. This setup on my SHO gives me same info at a little less cost including fuel data manager, interface cable, and water pressure sensor. No separate gauge but I rarely looked at it anyway. Just glanced at overlaid data on the Lowrance. If you want a gauge buy the Lowrance LMF 400. Still need the fuel data manager though. Would be hard to go back.

where does the fuel data manager go ? does it plug into a port on the engine like the interface cable and go back to a t on the nema.

just tee into NMEA

you can add the data as an overlay or build an info screen

What is part number for 2017 sho for lowrance system. I'm setting up my basscat for my new motor. Analog gauges so wanting to get this done. I believe I need a nema starter kit and this interface cable.

I had the Lowrance interface cable installed on my 2016 Legend but I can't access the data on my Lowrance units..... it is literally driving me crazy

Do you have HDS units? if so what do you see on the info page?, also be sure the key switch is on to the engine when you are viewing.

I think you may have to go into the setup screen on the Lowrance and enable it to read engine data. http://www.lowrance.com/Global/Lowra...Connection.pdf

Also, my interface cable does not provide trim. Is this a senor also? Not that I care about trim (I go by feel), just wondering.

Look in the engine pan for two single pink wires that will be taped together with yellow tape. Remove the tape and the cap from each connector. Plug the two connectors together. then disconnect your analog trim gauge...
