    Mercury ignition key

I have a 2001 Mercury 225 EFI. I am looking for a spare ignition key. The shaft of the key is very short and it has a rubber shroud on it to help you turn it.

I have looked on several websites but I have not seen anything like it. Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Be safe,
    Rayzor

All Mercury keys have a number and a letter stamped on them. That should be under the rubber shroud. You can't get copies of these keys, but they are readily available on numerous web sites including E-Bay.

If you can obtain the numeric or alpha-numeric code that is under the rubber end-sleeve, you can order replacements from Sherm @ Sherm's Marine (or from Rhonda in our Parts Department).
