A few of my favorite screenshots

Caught a few bass hanging around the perch beds

Looks like a fish hanging out under the tree limb waiting on the bait to swim by

Caught several bass hanging around the perch gathered around a stump

On the way back in with 10 minutes left before weight in, caught 4 bass hanging on the drop off in 6 cast to salvage a limit.

That is Navionic's hot maps platinum south, I believe. I'll have to go and look at my box to verify, it's been so long since I purchased it.

I made the same thread a couple times yesterday because it gave me several errors at the top of the page which distracted me from seeing the "moderator approval" message.

I think that comes on when you turn "seabed" option on....

I'll have to go back and look at my settings to double check that it isn't something deeper you have to enable, but I do have seabed on and that green is for flooded timber.

I know it's a useful tool, but I haven't gotten very adept at using my 2D yet. I'm working on it.

Nice pictures though with the verification from catching out of the group!

    Hi Jethreaux,

Probably are already aware of it, but the lines showing up on your left side and down scan images are usually due to your LSS transducer being mounted to your jack-plate and getting ringing from it. Installing a holeshot plate or lowering the transducer will normally remedy this.

Yes, I asked that in a thread a while back, I plan on getting a plate, just haven't had time to work it out with outage schedules at work.

Thank you for commenting on it though.

I was going to go home and go step by step into the settings, but I found the answer on navionics website:

Lowrance HDS: Colored Seabed Areas Setting

    Information

    Details
To display the colored seabed areas on Lowrance HDS units:

    1. Place the chart into the Lowrance HDS unit

    2. Allow the chart to load and then press MENU

    3. Scroll to SETTINGS

    4. Select CHART OPTIONS

    5. Turn ON the COLORED SEABED AREAS setting

*Please note: not ALL lakes will display the colored seabed areas. Lake surveys that DO include this detail will show different colored/highlighted seabed areas such as creek beds, river channels, sand/gravel/mud seabed areas, etc.

Green areas are timber and you only get that with resurveys and HD with a card that has been updated/purchased since the change.
