    Sad times for the tr-21

My vmax 225 ox66 is toast. Can any one recommend a company that sells power heads or will do a quality rebuild?

A rebuild is going to run you about half the cost of a new engine. Might as well upgrade to a new 250 with a full warranty if you are planning on keeping the boat long term.

do you plan on keeping the TR21 a long time? Hydro Tec supplied a new powerhead for me in Feb 2015. It has performed well. My 1999 TR21 has been completely restored. The cost to rebuild is 1/2 a new SHO. At the time, (daughters wedding), the extra 8K for a new SHO wasn't a good idea for me.

I’m not planing on keeping the boat long term. Four or five years is the most. I’d love to put a new motor on it, but financially it don’t make since. Most likely she’s going to go to hydro tech.
