We have caught a lot of fish out of the toon and it's more comfy than the bass boat for sure

Throughout the years, I've been against owning one for fishing.

I recently got a 20 foot Sylvan and I have found it absolutely great for fishing. The 115 Yamaha Vmax is plenty...
With the 80 pound thrust Minn Kota trolling motor - with remote control, I've been able to enjoy fishing so much more.
My last boat was a 17 foot flats boat and I don't know how I got used to being cramped up in it. The stability and room on the pontoon boat is great! Wished I bought one earlier... I have 3 livewells although, one is used for storage.

Another point to mention is the ease of getting on and off the boat. No more climbing in and out of a boat...
Also, no drain plugs to 'forget.' And, easy cleaning... Washing the deck and rinsing it a breeze.

One drawback is wind, that can push you off a spot. The siding catches wind more then your average flats or bass boat.

Love my BassCat for fishing, but absolutely love our 22’ Southbay for cruising, swimming, and relaxing. Pontoons are fun to own.
And it almost never gets too windy or rough for a toon.
Enjoy. Very nice boat you have.
