Well just look at Hartwell and Russell, they have herring. Lake Greenwood is also infested with spotted bass. But there's nothing you can do but adjust to the changing conditions.

I been fishing the hill 40 years and spots are on the increase mostly caught in the summer months off of humps near deep water are channels it still taking 20 plus lbs to place high in just about any tournament. I hate the grass, welcome the carps, Murray has great fishing without the grass now, biggest problems on the hill is pump back killing forage and all tournaments going out of cherokee and hawe grouping fish in these areas especially at wildwood, ditch fish are starting to kick in right now tie on a lead head fluke are bounce a sonar from start of ditch out to about 20 feet an deeper as the water cools also toads are already being caught pre spawn with their tails ragged in shallow pre spawn areas, put on something red if your cranking.
I thought I was the only one that hated the grass on Clarks Hill. Fish in the grass are smaller and skinnier. I have much better luck fishing away from the grass.
Redbeard I need to come go out with you or Jeff soon. I am going up there once or twice a month for work and can't justify puling the boat up.. Just don't see leaving the boat at the hotel and possibly not having time to go.
