New (to me) ChampioN Owner!! 2000 191DC.

    Hello ChamPs!!

Just bought a new to me 2000 191DC 25th Anniversary Edition w/ a 2000 Opti 200HP. Immaculate condition. All updates performed on motor.

    What. A. Ride.

My question is about the motor/prop setup. It has a 24 Fury and I'm hitting 62 at 5300-5400RPM with very little gas (less than 1/4 tank), no gear and 2 210 dudes. I have no idea the motor position in relation to the pad, but I've read on here others with a 191 are turning more RPM's (Diff motor?) and much better on top end. High 60's to low 70's.

Any suggestions? I'd love to post pics but I've yet to figure out how to post them here. PM your cell and I'll send some if you'd like to see it. I love it. Just sold a 2016 20TRX and bought this to replace it. Tried to be a tourney guy, but I realized I'm just below turrible at fishing LOL. BUT I LOVE IT!! I put over 200 hours on the Triton in 18 months!!

    Thanks!

    Lyle

    Welcome to the family, Lyle!!!!!

I'm sure some 191 owners will be along shortly with their set-up info and suggestions.

Very similar numbers with a 2000 193 DCX ELITE Anniversary Edition 200hp Merc - same prop.
Chevy, Titleiest, Suzuki, Phoenix 921( still got Champion 193 )- why drive anything else?!!

Something doesn't sound right with your boat. You should be getting more RPMs, closer to 5800-5900. I would start by checking your PTP measurement. PTP should be 3.5" to 3.75". If that setup is correct, you either have a prop or motor problem. Once you figure that out, I would try to get your hands on a 25 tempest prop, it is the best prop on that boat. I loved my 191. My dad still has the boat and it is an excellent boat.
