Its because I don't live there anymore. Apparently I was the life of the party.

As long as I’m not deployed at that point, I’m going to go. Maybe one of you guys would want to partner with me?

That lake is just a few hours up the road and I’ve fallen in love with it the last two time I was there.

Just like in ND, fishing season has pretty much wound down. I’d like to get out a couple more times before the lakes freeze but I also want to be in the deer woods. It’s quite the dilemma.

That’s still over 16 fish per trip. That’s hard to beat anywhere else in the country.

I know and I managed to zero 3 times and a few of those days were just a couple hours. I managed to fish a lake that winterkilled a couple years ago, looked so good! But no life

I went up to Metigoshe once to try to catch largemouth strictly because G&F shows that it was stocked with them years ago. The whole lake looks like a green fish factory but I never got a bite from one.

I don’t know if they were 2 pounds or not but they were giants for sure! That was my favorite place to go catch dinner.

I’ve been there a handful of times in the 5 years I lived there. I’d go 2-3 times a summer and then I’ve been ice fishing there twice. In the summer, finding gills is the simplest thing. Just go to any weed bed you find and fish a piece of worm under a bobber. Those gills are literally everywhere! Now for ice fishing, they really group up. The only place I have found them then is around bear island.

Well come on down! We are still a good bit away from making any ice. And even then, we could just sneak on down to Lake of the Ozarks.
