96' 209 TE- Hydrofoil, Dole Fin on a 225 Pro Max -better holeshot?

My boat is a bit sluggish getting up on Plane- will adding a hydrofoil make any significant improvement with a 209TE hull / 225 Mercury Pro max ?

Gamblers with 2.5's suffer on holeshot simply because they don't have the torque of 3.0's. a foil may help some...but it still won't holeshot like a 3.0.

Foil, a holeshot plate under your JP and a well adjusted prop will all help..

A holeshot plate will help drive the nose down, similar to someone jumping up front to help you take off. What prop are you running with your Promax?

yes, 3 blades are not as good as 4 blades for hole shot "normallly"...however props have advanced quite a bit and it sorta depends on what 3 blade/4blade u are comparing...
